THE KUMO-CONCERT PHOTOGRAPHY EDITION
See, I was going to write about my (mis)adventures in Portugal but since I'm having a hard time choosing photos (I got more than a thousand from a week-long trip), I thought I'd just tell you about my more recent shenanigans.
So there's this indie rock band called Kakkmaddafakka from Norway. I discovered them in 2011 when they opened for the concert of The Whitest Boy Alive. (In case you missed that, you can read about it here.) Anyway, going back, their set was fun and upbeat and I never stopped listening to them since then. Few months ago, I found out that they were coming to Amsterdam. I immediately purchased a 15€ ticket before they got sold out. (And sold out they were!) And because I am also in the mood to improve my photography skills, I thought this might be a good opportunity to practice taking concert photos because I am horrible at it (proof). So off to Paradiso Noord I went (and solo, too because why not).
For a number of years, I have always relied on the auto settings of my camera. But on this night, I dared to shoot manual. So without further ado, here are the photos. These are unedited (straight out of my memory card) and hope you can give me some tips on how I can improve. Please leave a comment below. :)
